I am Laura Sebastianelli. My grandfather, Wilfred Israel Duphiney (1884-1960), was a portrait artist in RI. Though I was born in 1960, I have always felt a close connection to him through his artwork. This blog is for the journey of going through a pile of old photos, newspaper clippings, and who-knows-what.
It accompanies a gallery of his art work … or rather, the work for which I have documentation. I know there is much more. The gallery can be found here (for now, anyway, though it may get moved to a gallery here on the blog in time).
